Travel journal: Stockholm visit with exciting meetings on and off the field

For two intense days at the end of last week, our CEO, Rabie, and one of our project managers, Dennis, visited Stockholm. The first day was spent in meetings and the second day in a busy football stadium in Sollentuna. Exciting encounters all around! Working towards integration for the e-commerce platforms Centra Commerce and Storm Commerce was at the centre of our attention this time around.

Verso Skincare – unique and advanced products

The Royal Academy of Sciences annually elects the Nobel Prize laureates in physics and chemistry, as well as for several other prestigious prizes. We headed off to this historic and formidable building for our first meeting, as Verso Skincare is also located there. The company was founded in 2013 with the objective to create advanced products that simplify the daily skincare routine.

Tests were carried out three years prior on different concentrations of Retinol 8 with doctors at the Karolinska Institutet, one of the world’s leading medical schools. They found that they had discovered a formula that was 8 times as potent but only half as irritating to the skin as traditional Retinol. During the meeting with Linda Söderholm, Verso Skincare, and Hanna Lilja, Grebban, we talked about integration, the future and how to boost a language.

It’s high time for Verso Skincare to take new leaps onto new markets, and to that end it has turned to Contentor for help. Thanks to our extensive experience with translation, localisation, proofreading and automation, we can hold our customer’s hand and take their content to the next level. Keep an eye out to future Verso updates as they scale up their operations!

Sportson shifts gears with Contentor!

After a fulfilling morning meeting with Verso, we went to Sveavägen in central Stockholm for a lunch meeting with Jonas Holtbo. He has been working as marketing director and establishment manager for a few years at the bicycle specialist chain Sportson. They sell directly to consumers with e-commerce, but they also work with B2B to a great extent. Sportson is run as a franchise operation – today, they have 23 stores at 14 locations in Sweden, making them the largest bicycle specialist chain in the country.

Just a couple of weeks ago, we at Contentor delivered content to Sportson in the form of localisation, SEO customisation and content creation. For the duration of an hour, we discussed

product data, content and trends, among other things. We are very excited to be entrusted to be part of Sportson’s team for their continued journey! Would you like to learn more about integration and the benefits it may reap? Check out our website and learn more about seamless content.

ProAd + Contentor were successful in Media-SM

If Thursday was exciting in the meeting rooms, Friday was all the more thrilling on the football field. This year, Contentor teamed up with ProAd and entered the Media-SM football tournament (Swedish Championship for companies in media). In addition to ProAd/Contentor, the companies competing for the esteemed title this year were:

  • Schibsted
  • Bonnier News
  • Gröna Lund
  • Tradedoubler
  • Solidsports
  • Will Brand
  • Nyheter 365

After a weak start with two tied matches and shaky game, Coach Salem had a pep talk with the team. It gave the desired results right away, and we were more or less unstoppable. In fact, we went all the way to the semifinals, where we went up against a tough contender in the form of Bonnier News, who won in the end 3–2. As consolation, Rabie was named the tournament’s MVP due to several great achievements, including a superb chip goal.
